I specialize in Portfolio Modeling and Rebalancing, Retirement Planning Analysis, Tax Planning and Research, as well as client communications. However, my passion lies in retirement and tax planning, where I help clients navigate the complexities of these areas. With over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, I have developed a deep understanding of various aspects of financial planning.
My journey in the financial industry began while I was completing my degree. Prior to starting my professional career at McCarthy Wealth & Tax Advisors, I worked in customer-facing roles, gaining valuable experience in understanding and serving clients' needs. In 2007, I achieved a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Financial Services major from the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University. Throughout my career, I have actively pursued professional designations to enhance my expertise. In 2008, I became a Registered Investment Adviser Representative, followed by earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2010. The same year, I also obtained the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, enabling me to provide comprehensive tax planning and representation services.
What I find most rewarding in my career is helping clients overcome the roadblocks that hinder their understanding and preparation for their financial goals. By guiding them through the planning process, I aim to showcase the rewards of their hard work and assist them in achieving financial success. Kindness and consideration for my clients' personal needs are the values I prioritize. Many individuals seek the services of a financial advisor during difficult life events, such as job loss, the passing of a loved one, or transitioning into retirement. I strive to provide pragmatic advice while displaying empathy, recognizing the unique circumstances clients may face. It is my goal to offer support and guidance during these challenging times.
I currently reside in Miamisburg, Ohio, which allows me to maintain proximity to both work and family. I grew up in Waynesville, and my parents still live nearby. We cherish our family dinners and spend leisurely evenings on the front porch, enjoying the company of our dogs running around the property. A local organization that I am passionate about supporting is Buckeye Bulldog Rescue (BBR). As part of their in-home foster program, I have volunteered to foster several dogs until they find their forever homes. In my free time, I enjoy playing in a recreational sand volleyball league, listening to a variety of audiobooks, and attending live music events.
Lastly, I am an enthusiastic dog lover, and my English Bulldog companion, Chloe, is a constant source of happiness in my life.
